Brighton Train Depot

Brighton Depot in its second location on the eastern side of Market St. This handsome Richardsonian Romanesque building was built in the 1880s.

Looking west towards the Market Street bridge. In the left foreground is the station and loading complex for the stockyards. In the distance is the Brighton Depot.

New England States Limited passing the Brighton Station, the wooden shelter on the right. The homes on the south side of Lincoln Street, to the left, were demolished for the construction of the Mass Pike. Beyond the homes you can see the chimney of the B&A car shops on the south side of Lincoln Street just west of the Everett Street bridge. Picture taken from Market Street in 1960. Note the absence of the current Boston skyline.
